A FAVORite...Mystical Madness Bar Mitzvah

This past April I had the opportunity to work with the Cohens to create favors and finishing touches for their son Adam's Bar Mitzvah.  Anyone who knows Adam knows how he loves to read fantasy-themed books, with the Harry Potter series being one of his favorites, so Adam's Mystical Madness was the perfect original theme for the evening.  The color palette of purple, navy and black not only worked well with the Mystical Madness theme, but it also represented Adam's favorite football team, the Baltimore Ravens.

The first step in "branding" Adam's Mystical Madness was to come up with a logo.  We presented the Cohen's with several logo options and they selected the "castle logo" which featured a Harry Potter-like font.  Once they selected the logo, everything else just fell into place.  We used the logo on the placecards, the table numbers, and the favors (more on those later).  We gave the logo to Glyde Productions (the evening's entertainment) and they flashed it on their plasma screens.  We also gave the logo to Digital Lightning (one of our PARTY FAVORITES PORTFOLIO members) to create a custom Gobo over the DJ.  A second logo, which just featured Adam's name and Bar Mitzvah date in another Harry Potter-like font, was created for the cocktail napkins and guest towels in the restrooms. To further enhance the Mystical Madness theme, Glyde Productions handed out wizard hats and tons of glowing giveaways on the dance floor.

For the favors, Adam selected flannel pajama pants in a purple and black pattern.  We imprinted the Mystical Madness logo on the left leg.  Flannel pajama pants are one of our most popular favors.  The kids really love them.  Adam's mom wrapped them in "tootsie roll style" in cellophane, tissue and ribbon.  She then added personalized stickers which featured the Mystical Madness logo and each guest's name to insure that every guest received a pair of pajama pants in the correct size.

All of these "branded" finishing touches combined with the mystical themed decor created by SYZYGY Events transformed the ballroom at Lakewood Country Club into a magical venue and gave Adam and his family a truly magical and memorable evening in honor of his Bar Mitzvah.
